Wanted - childminder in Gipsy Hill area

Updated - got the dates wrong!

We are moving from Peckham to Gipsy Hill soon (not sure when yet - depends on house sale and renovation, could be 1-3 months) and are looking for a local childminder for our 2 year old son.

We would love someone creative, who will stimulate and challenge, whilst offering a loving environment and respond to our son's needs, interests and routine. He is 2 and 4 months, full of beans, very inquisitive and chatting away. He is very happy at his current childminder but we are reluctantly thinking it may be more practical to have local childcare, so are keen to know what's out there.

We are ideally looking for childcare 3 days per week, though would consider 4 days pw. If the setting is right, we may keep our son in childcare till Sept 2017, or he may start nursery in September 2016 (though we would still need a childminder for afternoons/dropoffs/pickups depending on the schedule).

Ideally Gipsy Hill area but could be Crystal Palace, Kingswood Estate, West Norwood or Upper Norwood.

Do get in touch if this sounds like you.. even if you don't have space at the moment.

Thanks

    • Thanks very much for that.   I think the better informed we are, the better our discussions will be. The article contained: "That arrest had quite an impact on the [phone theft] numbers for the following month,” said Green.  Here's another indicator, admittedly a piece of police PR,  of how well-targeted police efforts, mostly invisible to us,  can when successful  seriously affect offending figures: https://news.met.police.uk/news/met-police-drive-down-theft-and-robbery-by-84-percent-in-battersea-and-nine-elms-500495.
    • Another excellent article from Jim Waterson's London Centric reporting https://www.londoncentric.media/p/kitchen-foil-and-algerian-markets?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email Interesting that there seem to be favoured and repeated routes for phone snatching for particular thieves.  Seems ED might be one of them ☹️
    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces. Access to East Croydon for days out in the South Coast
