Can anyone advise? I am tearing my hair out.

I have a drive formatted for a mac, and I need to get at the files on my PC. I've tried HFS explorer, but it just tells me that it can't find the handler for this partition. I've tried Paragon's HFS+, which I've paid for, but the drive is still not showing up in explorer, and under disk management it can see it but tells me it's "unallocated" and won't let me assign a drive number.

There are definitely files on the drive, I could see them yesterday on a friend's mac. Any techy folk here have any suggestions? Or a mac that I could use to view the files on, perhaps?

Have contacted the software support and trawled the various tech forums, not finding anything.

    • Hello.   Thanks Nigel and Hparker 😀   I've got new slots available for new students looking for a piano teacher or guitar teacher.   You could start in the new term beginning September, or I'm also available adhoc-styles through the summer holidays at times.   I teach all ages, in most styles, in lots of different ways according to how you learn/like to learn.   Give me a call or text on 07730 402336.   I have connections to lots of performance opportunities/networks too.   I run regular events /student concerts, and play in bands/perform.   Natalie.
    • So do I, but I think they are in trouble as well.  Anyway, that space wouldn't be big enough.
    • I'm not talking about Starmer. I was responding to a post which  said that  Corbyn was unelectable. How people voted in the "more hotly contested election" is irrelevant. Corbyn wasn't leading the Labour Party then. Starmer was. And the turnout for Labour reflects that.
