Give and Take shop

I noticed some weeks ago that the Give and Take shop on Lordship lane (near the EDT) had its lease up for sale in a local Estate agent.

I have been past the shop a few times in the last couple of weeks and has a 50% off sign in the window and hasn't been open.

Has it closed down?

Does anyone know whats happening?

Its my charity of choice to give my high end designer clothes to So i'd be grateful if anyone knows if they will be relocating.

As far as I know its the only charity shop where money from donated items (as opposed to the part donated items) goes specifically to Breast Cancer charities.

I looked at their website and there they state how much goes to the charity.

I've never felt they were anything but genuine. Its sad to lose a shop dedicated to donating funds to breakthrough breast cancer and get another bland boutique.

I guess it could have been worse though and become a cupcake shop.

    • It's usually if your property is adjoining or very close to the property where work is being done. As others have stated, chimney breast removal and structural walls removal definitely require your consent and your neighbour will be responsible for paying your party wall surveyors fees. They probably don't want to pay additional money but that's the law so the law is on your side. It's a safeguard at the end of the day and if you want to quote the law at your neighbour to make them take responsibility I would get a solicitors letter (few hundred pounds but money well spent as property worth a lot and a lot can go wrong with building work so best to cover yourself). https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/preventing-and-resolving-disputes-in-relation-to-party-walls/the-party-wall-etc-act-1996-explanatory-booklet you may find useful
