Wanted: live-in or live-out nanny or au pair from Feb 2016 (East Dulwich)

Hi,


We are a family of four, including two wonderful boys (age 6 and nearly 4) living in East Dulwich. We currently have the most amazing nanny who has been with us for nearly 6 years and she will be going on maternity leave towards end of Feb/ early March 2016 to have her own little bundle of joy.


We are therefore looking for somebody who can help us with childcare during our nanny's maternity leave (duration to be confirmed).


Both our boys are at DPL during term time. We primarily need care before school and after school including school runs, but we are happy to retain a full time nanny with an arrangement that can suit both us and the nanny in terms of share/ retainer rates during school hours, etc.


We would consider both live-in, live-out and an experienced au pair already in London.


We would like a loving and caring person, who can provide our boys with stability and a warm environment. We would also like somebody who is a confident driver.


If you are considering a live-in option (as a nanny or an au pair), we have a huge guest bedroom which we think will be very suitable for a nanny, with share of our family bathroom with the boys (we have our own).


The position requires 7.30-6.30pm, Mon-Fri ideally. We could potentially consider 4-day options for the right nanny/ au pair

Hi, I'm Cristina, I'm from Spain and I'm 23 years old. I'm actually looking for a job as nanny.


I'm already living in London since one week.


A year ago I finished the Degree of Pre-school Teaching and I?m currently studying for the public examinations in Spain, to work as a pre-school teacher or and English teacher. Also I have a certificate in English (First Certificate of Cambridge) and I?m actually studying to get the Advanced Certificate in English.


I was a year between Bradford (England) and Edinburgh (Scotland), studying and performing my placement with young children in different nursery schools.


I have also studied music; I studied piano for five years.


As for my personality, I consider myself a very responsible, orderly, active, outgoing, caring and dynamic person. I like quiet environments, interact with people, enjoy cooking, healthy food, sports, cinema, nature and music. I am not a smoker.

      I completely agree with you . Its as if they have their foot in the door and are just pushing and pushing. It's ridiculous. It's not the right space. they clearly do not give any regard to the environment or they would move it.

      There's a great badminton club at the Harris girls academy. It runs Friday from 5.30 to 6.45. for more experienced players, they have sessions on Wednesday and Friday, too but that's subject to skill levels

      There seem to be all sorts of blocks for this event being mounted on the Common, one is that it was 'designed especially' for the current site, though the organisers seem to have had absolutely no problem rejigging their plans to the original site footprint to expand the event to what we had last year- which I think really imposed on a large part of the park and spoilt the feel. I would suggest pressing very hard for relocation to the Common ( also closer to transport links). There must be a way, surely? If not, then wholesale relocation to a more suitable venue. I just do not think the park should be subjected to a festival-goer footfall of 60,000 plus over the summer.

      I absolutely will. Fed up of property developments that are funded from offshore investors and price out local people. Fed up of the demise of social rents and the growing crisis of families in bed and breakfast. Fed up of young people being unable to save deposits, start families and generally have the same security of tenure that previous generations had. So yes, I will drill down into the financing, affordability, where the properties aer being advertised for sale, and how many are genuinely for social rent. Otherwise, no opposition to redeveloping that site in that way.
