Secondary glazing recommendations

I'm looking for a company to install secondary glazing to the front our house. Having done a bit of research I think the sound insulation and cost benefits outweigh having double glazing fitted, for now.

Has anyone had this done and would recommend their fitter? I'm also curious as to cost - we're looking to have two large bays and one small window fitted with secondary glazing. Any indication as to price would be really helpful as we have no idea!

I have just had a large 3 windowed bay done by south east secondary glazing. They were prompt and the windows are great. It cost with VAT about ?1000

Secondary glazing is great for sound reduction but it is 'ugly' and the 'smooth' sliding action only lasts a few months.

I have sash windows and the secondary glazing is set inside the inner beading and the panes aligned with the original sash. If you notice it at all it just looks very neat.

@Peckhampam do you have plenty of depth to the windows, or did they squeeze the double glazing in place of the beading?

Take a look at Everest, I had mine done some 20+ years ago and it still glides fine.

My friend had hers done to keep out noise with Everest, last week I had triple glazing put in with Everest the local consultant came to see me lovely older gentleman no hard selling great service if your looking for the best and life time warranty then go with them no not the cheapest but you can always find cheaper what every you purchase
