We are looking for an after-school nanny to care for our children ? 13 year old daughter (Year 9) and 10 year old daughter (Year 6). The role involves approximately 25 hours during term-time (~2pm to 7pm) and is mostly full-time (8am to 7pm) during school holidays. There will also be additional hours on an ad hoc basis during term time so flexibility is key.

You must be warm & caring with a sense of fun. You must also be responsible, reliable, trustworthy and organised as you will have sole-charge of the children.

You will be responsible for collecting our children from school, coordinating after-school activities, supervising homework and cooking their evening meal. You will also be expected to assist with light household duties such as washing/ironing of children?s clothes, tidying children?s areas and bedrooms, child-related admin etc. We have a lovely cleaner so heavier housework not expected.

You must be fluent in English and able to supervise/help with homework. A clean UK driving license is also preferred. Excellent references and a genuine enthusiasm for caring for our children required.

Please respond with your CV if interested. I will reply only to suitable candidates already based in the UK.

Thank you

Good evening,

We have a number of caring and fun child carers who work in the Herne Hill / North Dulwich area who can be available to look after your daughters. Our service is called Role Models (www.rolemodels.me).

All of our Role Models come with bags of energy, and a passion for either music, sport, theatre, or homework help. This means we can 'match' a Role Model to the specific interests and hobbies of your children which makes childcare even more fun and helps develop your little ones at the same time. I've attached Francesca?s profile to give you an example of the types of Role Models we work with.

Our service also takes away the hassle of arranging nanny contracts, tax, and national insurance etc. Because all of our Role Models work via us, you will be free of all the admin involved with employing someone directly.

All of our Role Models speak fluent English, are CRB/DBS checked, double reference checked, interviewed, and come with plenty of experience looking after young children and teenagers. A number of them have a driving licence and some own their own car (some of them love cooking nutritious meals too!).

Role Models can look after your children either on an ad-hoc basis, after school, during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and/or school/family holidays. We can also provide Role Models on a last-minute / emergency basis to cover for e.g. sickness or during busy periods. Subject to availability, we can provide you with a longer term childcare commitment. We do not believe in charging over-the-top agency rates and would be happy to take the time to find the perfect Role Model for your family.

Please let me know if we can help.

Will.

    • Not so fast @malumbu. This is not a nothing to see here moment (and for some of us on the forum it is local as her house is in Dulwich)- the BBC explain why, have a read: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvgkvd3jg2no Southwark's role in this will be key - did they alert her, will they fine her (as they have done with other private landlords), was it someone in Southwark who leaked it? This government came in on a ticket of integrity and this type of thing is very damaging to that message - especially in light of other similar issues Starmer's front-bench has had - it cannot be one rule for them and one rule for us. @Dulwichway you know you're in political trouble when videos like that appear within hours of a story breaking.....and goes viral.
    • The limit is supposed to be 25 per day.  Have you made that amount today?
    • 🤣 Well, I can apparently  "react" provided I take up a whole other post to do it. I wonder when "today" ends, and what is my daily quota of "reactions"?
