On Saturday 31 grab your best broom, your wand, and don your best cape - Harry Potter comes to the Gallery for one night only! Before you settle down to a screening of 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone', enjoy yummy burgers and pizzas, create your own art work, and hear hauntingly spooky tales! There are Escher goodies for the best costumes, and free tours around the exhibition too.

  I think you were very lucky to get it cancelled, TBH. So far as I know, there is not some kind of unofficial period of grace after the publicised time.
