I brought these trainers off this lady last night.

I collected them at around 10.20pm.

When i got them home i realised they were fakes.

I paid ?50 for them, which was no issue if they had been "originals".

Within 20mins of purchasing them i called her back but she wouldn't accept my calls.

I messaged her to ask her if i could return them as they were too small for my son.

This morning she replied, telling me she sold them to me & i was happy to purchase & she did nothing wrong.

At 11.08pm she edited the thread & removed the ad & pictures.

At this point i knew she was definately ignoring my call & messages.

The shoes she had put a picture up of,had white markings on the laces as well as the sole. When questioned about this she gave me some shoddy excuse about posting a pic that was closest to the trainers she had & something about her phone not working properly.

I have all the messages we exchanged.

I told her i am taking this further as she sold me "fakes". She still insisting they are genuine.

They are nothing like the real pair. I have compared both & the fakes are fake!!!

I bought them on sunray avenue, she came to my car.

I have her supposed address & also managed to get a pic of her.

I am a regular forum user but i have used a new log in to post this msg.

The forum, to me, is abit like a family unit where you somewhat get to know the real users.

Its quite a shame she did this. She is also a fairly new user of this site.

Any ideas/suggestions of how to tackle this?

Please pm me.

Oh my gosh, the funny thing is I PM this person and offered ?40 which she accepted (was just waiting for location). I suppose if you didn't turn up she would've offered it to me. If she thought she didn't do anything wrong, why delete the post. If you look on the history she is offering nanny/cleaner service and also requesting a market stall (I think she needs to be DBS checked first). Maybe speak to admin regarding this, personally I the ED has opened up to all sorts (I was interested in a table, but was told to collect from penge, what connection is dulwich to penge). It is such a shame as there are some really good people on here, and I have brought a lot of things without a problem. Thanks for the warning, just as well you didn't spend a lot more.

First of all it was quiet late, secondly, i really didn't expect this from the forum.

I have bought stuff on here numerous times & never experienced this.

Also, it was confirmed when I compared them to an original pair i have.

I'm sure some of you may agree it can be difficult to determine wether certain things are fake or not.

Yes, my stupidity but honestly I didn't expect it!

this is bad when you buy anything from this forum or any other forum you need to go to the address of the seller. this seller could live anywhere and drive to the village ?? you don't know. you can buy fake ANYTHING from china now and some of them look good but you can still tell. i don't know if admin can get her ip address this will give you the home address of the sender of the forum messages good luck with and i hope you get your money back.

I reported it before she deleted her post.

These admin guys seem pretty good at what they do..... So hopefully they will be on the case!

I have done some investigating & have other information that goes against her.

I just hope she doesn't get anybody else as she got me!

I did go to the address but she came outside to meet me..... Who knows she may well have been at a job????

People need to be exposed!!!!!

This is east dulwich forum.... I have used it for a few years & never had a problem before now

Its people like her who join & screw it up for others!

How many others may well have been in my position in the past??? Who knows

I'm sure her employers from dulwich village are probably reading this too...... She will never know who knows what about her

She should've thought about what she was doing.

I gave her a few chances to refund my money but she chose not to..... This is the price she pays..... For what ?50????

I hope its worth it

Caveat emptor - buyer beware.

basic rules in life, where handing over cash is concerned.

sorry, but there's no point complaining about it after the fact. You have no idea of her intention to pass something off. Did the ad actually say the were genuine?

Lesson learnt for next time - and a lesson for us all to pay attention to what we buy.

    • I’ve tried to find details of surgeries being held before but not found any. The section of the Southwark website that details councillors’ surgeries says that: Your locally elected Councillors will be holding a roving surgery programme in the Dulwich Hill area to enable residents to raise any local issues. Residents will be notified by letter in advance of the date, time and specific streets/roads where the surgery will take place.  Surgeries are not held in August, on Bank Holidays, Easter or in Christmas Week.  Dulwich Hill Ward Councillors I’ve never seen any notification of surgeries being held, including on the DH councillors’ social media accounts. I don’t know if any other residents of Dulwich Hill have? Neighbouring wards all seem to have times and places posted for surgeries.
    • I wouldn't feel too bad about that. It's one of the few degree areas that you can do a BA or a BSc in, so it's a fairly wide-ranging and complex subject. Certainly Truss, Kwasi and Reeves seem to struggle with it.
    • I can't access the article - what's the gist?  I took the markets getting jittery when she was crying at PMQs to be a sign that they trusted her. But maybe it was because they were simply worried about any form of instability.  The NIC hikes have stymied the economy, which we could all see a mile off. Will a wealth tax improve things? Does anyone here think the trickle down has any impact and that chasing out the super rich will help things? Or are we just seeing off the biggest contributors to the economy? And has the Kwasi approach ever worked anywhere else?  Economics is not my strong point at all, I'd love to know others' opinions, but it seems to be she has few options, especially as the party is so divided.
    • does either of them have a surgery? probably not over summer, but I thought they had to give the opportunity for their constituents to meet them.
