Jill
The temperature is not as hot as it used to be in the shower although hot in taps and water pressure is the same. I suspect it is the valve or something internal in the mixer. Any recommendations are gratefully received. Don't know brand of mixer I'm afraid. Thanks you, Jill Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/80680-need-someone-to-come-and-look-shower-mixer/ Share on other sites
Lazero
I had the same problem. It turned out to be the thermostatic mixer valve for me, it had been partially blocked up by limescale. The plumber knew this without even opening it up, so you could probably just order a new part yourself and then get it installed. Just identify the brand who make the mixer and send some photos of it to the manufacturer's customer service email address. I had a reply in a day and a new part was with me within the week. The plumber who installed it for me (though I was getting a few things done at the same time) was Garry Johnson. Look him up on the forum, there are loads of good reviews on here, and I agree with them all! Jill
Many thanks for the info - only problem is I don't know who the manufacturer is and the builder who installed it and ordered it on my behalf can't remember!
