landlord refuses to accept liability for combi boiler and fault with electricty

Recommended Posts

my landlord (a total Ass*ole)

there has been a problem with the boiler where we have to turn on the central heating to obtain hot water and the bulbs keep blowing in the property now i know that he has not got the boiler certified by a corgi engineer his mate had a look at it last time

i am in the process of obtaining my own property but as he is so horrible i would like to make his life a bit like mine when i am near to moving out anybody out there give me some advise

your boiler has to be certified safe every year by a certified gas installer, YOUR LANDLORD IS BREAKING THE LAW if your boiler does not have an up to date safety certificate and the same goes for all electical appliances. Refuse to pay rent and get your solicitor to send your landlord a notification to say you will be taking legal action with the necessary authorities, demand your deposit back in full you should recieve it or your landlord will be facing a possible jail term.

No he dont want me out i will put a message on here under the property section telling people not to rent this place (address will be attached) as there are a few other things as well but i was checking where i stand in the terms of the law

    • I know an instance where the foxes quickly learned how to avoid such devices.
    • I did read the comments above It's not moaning, it's stating facts. Tell you what,  you can come and clear up the near daily fox crap and see how you like dealing with it, no didn't think that would appeal to you.  Do they control rodents?  Foxes are vermin.  It's an emotive topic for some, I realise that, however the facts are foxes are a pest.
    • Well why don't you read the posts on this thread suggesting humane ways of deterring them from your garden, and do something constructive about it, instead of moaning? As for culling - how do you think that should be done, exactly?  And yes, as said above, they control rodents. Would you rather be overrun by rats?
