Man with van recommendation

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We are moving this weekend and need a man with van (its a 1 bed so doesn't need to be a big truck, a medium wheel base van/Luton van would be fine)

Quotes online I've got are around ?100 an hour which seems a lot compared to Gumtree ?25/30 an hour but my girlfriend doesn't really trust them so does anyone here have any recommendedations of trusted man with van who doesn't charge ?100 an hour?

The move needs to be this Saturday or Sunday.

Thanks

Hello,

I moved within East Dulwich last week with the help of VP Removals who I found via recommendations on the Forum. Peter and his guys were brilliant - on time, amazingly fast but careful and efficient.

They are less than the ?100 an hour you've been quoted to date and there were three on the team plus the Luton van. [email protected] and http://www.vpremovals.co.uk

Hi there,

I have a planned move date of August 3 from East Dulwich (SE22) to Tooting Broadway (SW17) please may I get a quote for a move? Everything would be packed and ready to upload into a van/truck:

1 x 1 seater fold up Futon

1 x 2 seater fold up futon

1 x Foldable Dining Table & 4 Collapsible chairs

1 x Chest of drawers ( IKEA Malm)

10 x Medium size boxes of Kitchen ware, clothes, bric a brac

1 x 25 inch TV

I envisage end to end Upload and unload of truck and travel time would probably be 2.5 hours.

Many Thanks,

Gerry

Hello, try looking for BestMove - this is the company we always use for our moving and I think they do a great job. They should be able to give you a detailed quote and probably even a discount, but you need to discuss that over the phone with them.

Good luck, Gerry :)

Given the joint statement recently issued by Capita and the Cabinet Office I'm not sure that contacting an MP is going to add much, other than venting what I think most of us can probably appreciate of what those affected are likely  to be thinking and feeling; unless perhaps, and I hope it's not needed, to report on deficiencies in the immediate rescue actions.
