Nanny share/childminder Tues-Fri from Mar 2016

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a lovely natured daughter (not at all biased ;-))who will be 13 months come Mar 2016. I am returning to work part time so need to arrange childcare. Unfortunately I am not able to take Friday off so have to arrange childcare for Tues-Fri. Do any childminders have availability for these days or anyone have a space in their nanny share? We would consider a day in nursery if we can find a space...

Thanks

Hello,

We are looking for someone to share our nanny on Mondays and Thursdays from January 2016, along with our happy, friendly daughter Nina, who will be 2 at the end of February. Depending on your other options, perhaps you'd be interested in doing Thursdays with us? We live in Peckham Rye, very close to the station and to Rye Lane for buses.

Our nanny, Emma, is really lovely - she currently looks after another little girl along with Nina, and takes them on lots of outings, cooks for them, organises activities etc - but the other family have had a new baby and so their childcare needs are changing, and we are therefore looking for someone else to share with.

Let me know if you think Thursdays might be of interest... and good luck with your childcare search!

All the best,

Jane

Hi, I'm Cristina, I'm from Spain and I'm 23 years old. I'm actually looking for a job as nanny.

I'm already living in London since one week.

A year ago I finished the Degree of Pre-school Teaching and I?m currently studying for the public examinations in Spain, to work as a pre-school teacher or and English teacher. Also I have a certificate in English (First Certificate of Cambridge) and I?m actually studying to get the Advanced Certificate in English.

I was a year between Bradford (England) and Edinburgh (Scotland), studying and performing my placement with young children in different nursery schools.

I have also studied music; I studied piano for five years.

As for my personality, I consider myself a very responsible, orderly, active, outgoing, caring and dynamic person. I like quiet environments, interact with people, enjoy cooking, healthy food, sports, cinema, nature and music. I am not a smoker.

Looking forward to hear from you!

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!

    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
