Wanted - cabinet maker

Hello everyone,

I am looking for someone to custom-make a glass fronted display case for me, which can hang on the wall to display some old swords I inherited (don't ask).

Does anyone know of a decent carpenter or cabinet maker who could do something like this? I don't really want to spend a fortune as it's really just a box with glass on the front.

Hi,

I had a guy round to give me a quote to build some storage solutions in my new flat yesterday. He ended up staying to put up all my pictures all through the flat. FOR FREE!! There were pictures to put up in each room and it took him about 2 hours (he helped me unpack them all first). He showed me some pictures of carpentry he has done recently and it really looked like excellent craftsmanship.

His name is Bart on 07873 507878. I originally got his number via recommendation on EDF. Really lovely guy too!

    • Thanks Sue.  No the car just drove on.  We don't know if they noticed.  We were driving behind.  We were just glad we could be with the cat, and take him to the vet, rather than leaving him there 😞
    • Certainly the infamous (and mythical) SE London cat killer turned out to be foxes attacking dying and dead cats injured by cars, but fox: cat encounters do appear to happen, even where cats are victorious. Fox: adult humans less so. At least where foxes are the aggressors.
    • That was very kind of you to take the cat to the vet. Did the car not stop?
    • This is a bit outside our area, but I'm posting in case .... Last night (Sat.20 Dec), around 10.30, we saw a cat hit by a car in St Norbert Road, SE4.  We took him to the out of hours vet in Beckenham, where they confirmed that he had died.  They will see if he is microchipped, and contact the owner if so.  They were very kind.   He was a lovely cat, grey and white.  He must have died very quickly.  So sorry to be the bearer of bad news 😞 The vet is Medivet in Beckenham, tel: 0208 650 2003.
