Large, solid and lovely coffee table: ?50

I am selling this wooden coffee table. We were given it some years ago by a friend who ran an antique Indian furniture business, but I'm afraid I don't know much about its origins. It is extremely solid and strong with metal edging to reinforce each corner. The legs have a distressed look to them (see close up picture) with rust paint visible. The underside of the table is slightly rough and may have started life as a door. There are some marks on the top (see photos), but generally it is in good condition.

The dimensions are: length 137cm, width 56cm and height 33 cm (42 cm at the corners).
