Recommendation for Derek at Finishing Point - Floor Sanding and Staining

Hi

I'd like to make a recommendation for Derek and his team Beau and Danny for the excellent job they carried out on our floors. We had tired looking hardwood oak floors over around a 70m sq area and they sanded them back and applied the stain that we chose. The customer service was excellent from start to finish with Derek even going out of his way to get sample pieces of wood for us to stain so we were 100% sure of the colour, and also following up afterwards to show us how to take care of the floor.

Derek's website is www.finishingpointltd.com and number is 07956 545215.

If you would like to see before and after photos I'm happy to send so just let me know.

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
    • Some of us oldies would associate Grove with the old Grove Vale School (which I went to in the 1950s)
