I'd like to make a blanket apology for any personal insults that were inferred from my above posts - none of which were intended or implied. I have no issue with any of the forum?s moderators and was at all times being inquisitive rather than accusatory. I?m content to conclude the matter here unless anyone else insists on continuing.

Oh dear, what a ding-dong I missed!

I've indeed dipped in and out of this forum over the past few years but always seem to forget that there are a select few who like to throw their toys about with unappealing fervour.

It would appear that the frenchman has taken ire with my contribution through either misinterpretation, delusion or deeper thinking than I. Alas I believe he may have spent too much time in country with Charlie in the darkness, I hope he beats his demons soon on his path to a more peacful mind. I thank you for one thing in that I looked up "hypocritical" thinking perhaps all these years I'd misunderstood it and instead learnt a new word "Pecksniffian". How cool!

HAL, thanks for earlier in my absence.

Mick Mac, ????s, I concur. MP, glad to see your calm restored.

It's funny but with all this emotional kerfuffle do I hear the ladies having a quiet laugh and shake of the head?

Peace and goodwill to all! Merry Xmas!

    • I definitely have some grass cuttings, and various bits of plant cuttings etc, which has been piling up in my garden. I’ve been meaning to bag it up, but don’t have much time on account of two small children.  if that helps?
    • Walking around Belgravia and Knightsbridge stopping to look at window displays in Harvey Nics and Harrods. Tea at The Ritz and Burlington Arcade. Theatre without doubt - concert at Royal Albert Hall. Must go to Fortnum and Mason and Foyles Bookshop. London is magical at Christmas Time whoever and whatever one does. Personally, avoid Winter whatever it's called in Hyde Park - usually near Hyde Park Corner - got it Winter Wonderland. Expensive, tacky. See what’s on at Sachi Gallery in Sloane Square - sounds really crazy but a walk thru any of the parks and even a row on the Sepentine plus visit that gallery.
    • Eynella road is nowhere near the Herne Hill Oxfam shop. Do you mean Stradella?
    • Both great ideas. I went round that house in the early eighties (I think it was, may have been later),  but I think the tour is differently done now (and a lot more expensive!)
