Not quite LL, but the Taste the Difference Primitivo Del Salento from Sainsbogs is about ?5 and very very good. It is on the sweeter side of dry, with lots of fruit and a good balance. It won an award for something, what ever that means. As with all Puglian wines, it benefits from lots of sun, so has lots of fruit flavours and a high alchohol rating.

It does go down rather quickly though...

Extend your walk to Lidl in Peckham.

I went to a blind wine tasting a couple of months' ago - we each had to bring a bottle and cover the label. My contribution came second and was a Shiraz that cost ?3.49 at Lidl!

I think the Iranian leadership is working on fast-tracking their own demise and the Americans and Israeli's planning for regime change, maybe with the many political prisoners the Israelis tried to free from the Elvin prison today. What a mess but clearly Iran was becoming a big threat to not only Israel but many of the other Gulf States and was clearly doing scary stuff with nuclear weapons that required action.

    • Flea darts...now there's a thing from my past I had long forgotten about - goodness our ! This thread title does always bring a smile to my face as I can't help but think it suggests a campaign to prevent the removal of someone's stash!
    • It was inevitable, but I think it'll blow over. Iran co-ordinated the attack with the Qataris, so as not to offend their mates, so Qatar was prepared. I hope it's just symbolic bluster and I think they're only targeting US bases.  Even if they target a UK base, I doubt it'll drag us into a conventional war with them.
