Comedy Critic John Fleming says of PTOO

"....... last night, I saw what is certainly one of the five best live shows I have seen in, let?s say, the last five years.

It was one of the monthly, always fascinating, Pull The Other One comedy club shows in London"

Yes very sadly.....Our Last Show at the Nun's and what a Show, not only Phil and Darren but at long last I have succeeded in securing 'The Short Man In Long Socks'...his first ever appearance in the UK....the most Pointless, Absurd and Useless Act I have ever seen .....and I LOVE him...

Thanks to The Old Nun's Head for the Home you gave us, and a special thanks to the Bar Staff for putting up with me and my antics.

I am sad to leave albeit on good terms but the room is to be converted into a Bar extension which I'm sure will be lovely. I have had the best of times there mainly due to our wonderful audience, the great acts, both of which loved the intimate 'Toy Theatre' feel of the room....and boy some of the things we got up to....you wouldn't see anywhere else.....But we do have some really great shows coming up at the IvyHouse and Bussey Buildings ............. and if anybody knows of a small venue or space that we can move to please let us know as we have shows booked until the Autumn

x

complete with the long awaited 'Short Man In Long Socks'....he really is making this time..... here is ablog about him... https://thejohnfleming.wordpress.com/2016/01/14/in-london-soon-a-little-seen-saxon-comedian-with-a-chicken-on-his-head/

    • ok - Jeremy himself is against mandatory vaccines. Is he as extreme as his brother? No? Is it fair to discuss how the overall view of that family would inform Jeremy's response to the pandemic? I would argue very much so
    • I wonder how much the rebranding is costing in total?  Could the money be used in a better way ?
    • It's not fair to hold Corbyn's brother's views against him when he has never explicitly or implicitly endorsed them. And he has enough of his own terrible positions to criticise anyway.
    • Completely unacceptable. They need to fund a proper, permanent park warden presence or this sort of behaviour will get worse. Parks should be safe for all to enjoy and being assaulted and threatened by teenage gangs may put more vulnerable people off using the park altogether. If they are prepared to threaten to hurt an animal then where might it lead? Sorry Alice but we'll have to disagree on this one. This does not sound like kids just being silly; lobbing water bombs at each other is one thing, but targeting complete strangers out for a walk and minding their own business and trying to kick their dog is, in my view, no laughing matter. A group of 15 teenagers can be intimidating, not to everyone but for some it can be, especially if their behaviour is aggressive.
