Local eBay sellers/ trading assistants (recommendation needed)

Has anyone ever used an eBay seller locally? eBay call them "trading assistants", and they are people/ companies that will collect, list, and post items on your behalf on eBay. In theory it saves you a lot of time and hassle, and if you never sell on eBay then you are getting the benefit of their (hopefully) good seller reputation.

In the next few weeks I want to have a clear out and would be interested in any personal recommendations for people who do this work. A colleague uses this approach all the time, but lives in Harpenden so her seller is a bit too far away. There are London-based companies I can find on Google, but they only take on the really valuable stuff (at least ?50-100). I'm already aware of EDF for sale area, local charity shops, and charities that do collections as viable options, I just want to explore what else might be out there.

    • When she was our MP before the boundaries changed, she was always really helpful and quick to reply to emails, so I'm very surprised to hear this. Have you tried other sources of help eg Citizens Advice Bureau or whatever union you were in when you were working (assuming you were in one)?

    • Another positive recommendation for Jan and co from Silver Fern We had removed trees that were uprooting the brick pavement. Jan and co successfully removed the roots under the brick pavement and levelled the driveway off using the original bricks. Work done to a high standard and no mess no fuss with the work. Quote was excellent value and work done in under 2 days. Neighbours have booked him for some other work. Really nice guy and friendly workers throughout. Toilet and tea breaks provided by the residents here. Thanks Jan and co.
