Pull The Other One .....Comedy Extravagance and Variety

THURSDAY 4th February

NICK PYNN https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BKMNYb5z64&index=10&list=PLoJjyHjSC26r2OO-YmBrqxJdYJgC8Xl2N joins BOOTHBY GRAFFOE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elJjSiESRAI for his FINAL, yes FINAL performance of his celebrated show SCRATCH

Boothby Graffoe takes a typically skewed look at the weird world of the National Lottery, in particular, the strange phenomenon of Scratch Cards. Who buys them? How Often? Why? Question marks are free, right? Let's keep using them, shall we???

Will Graffoe win? More importantly, will you win? Because this hilarious show also gives you the audience the chance to win up to ?250,000!!!

Really? Yeah... kind of

But that's not all. It's an evening of 2 halves. Scratch! makes up the 2nd half of the night. The first half is filled with songs and laughter all brought to you by "the stage presence and abundant talent of a comedian with the best part of a quarter of a century of experience under his belt."

DON'T MISS IT!

what the reviewers have said about SCRATCH!:

"Graffoe is as funny now, and twice as likeable, as he was when I first saw him 19 years ago."

"Arch surrealist..." - The Sunday Times

"...an evening filled with amusing facts, wry observations and off-the-cuff, unnervingly accurate improv." - Brighton Argus

"one of the best kept secrets in comedy" One4Review

"You can always rely on Graffoe." The Guardian

"it's one of Graffoe's most purposeful and enjoyable hours." Chortle

"Comedy songs that work as comedy and also as songs are a tough trick to pull off, but Graffoe does it time and time again!" Bruce Dessau

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
    • Perry Bamonte from The Cure.. Just 65 years old.
