Hand-made natural pocket sprung mattress ?150 O.N.O. - Euro King Size 160x198cm

Recommended Posts

We are selling our mattress as it is slightly too soft for us.

It has always had a thick feather mattress topper, AND a mattress protector on, so is pretty much in the condition it was when we got it 18 months ago. See photos for details, any marks and stains were as supplied from manufacturer.

As is normal with a well stuffed pocket sprung mattress, some settling of contents has occurred.

Buying Advice

From Manufacturer Website:

1. Natural fillings

Wool and cotton are quality components. Good fillings are equally as important as good springs. Natural fillings are costly and unsuitable for volume production. They are more comfortable and long lasting than man made fibres, and absorb and disperse heat more effectively.

2. Quality springs

We choose our springs carefully. The high count ?Pocket? springs are from a top Yorkshire maker, and the ?Open Coil? springs are from a leading German manufacturer.

3. 100% Cotton covers

Traditional cotton featherproof ?tickings? (mattress covers) allow the mattress to ?breathe?. Pure Egyptian or Lancashire tickings yield comfort and durability that more commonly available synthetic covers cannot provide.

4. In house quality control

All are expertly handmade in our Shoreditch Workshops.

5. Direct from the maker

We offer exceptional value because there is no middle man. We have a straightforward pricing policy and are able to offer a higher specification at a lower cost. Our prices are genuine, and our mattresses are still chosen when others reduce theirs.

6. Availability and choice

Eight standard UK sizes and four different types are available. We also make bespoke sizes which are suitable for all types of bed - not just our own.

7. Gimmick free

Other manufacturers use gimmicks which may add to, or even save manufacturing costs, but do little to improve the quality.

These include:

Double layers of springs. ?Single Sided No Turn? and ?Summer and Winter Sided? mattresses. Fancy stitching. Sprinklings of cashmere, silk and mohair. Heat retaining puffy foams and fibres. Clammy, moisture retaining textiles. The list is ever changing. Our aims are simple - No frills, just time proven quality and value.

    • I haven't had a rude EVRI delivery but last week I had an unexpected delivery at 10.42 pm. He didn't ring the bell or knock on the door (or rattle the letter flap) but just took a photo and put the box down.  If it hadnt been for the door camera giving us a beep we would never have known there was a parcel ready to sit there all night.

    • I have a rescue Spanish greyhound (galgo) from the charity mentioned above. You can contact Greyhounds in Need or one of the more local Kent greyhound rescue charities. They are fantastic family dogs. They do love walkies 2 or 3 times a day but they actually don't need to be walked too far and then they will happily loaf around on the sofa being very chill. They are brilliant with kids but not recommended if you own a cat as they have a strong prey drive. They also should be kept on the lead in local parks. They prefer to be around other sight-hounds (well my one does) and there are loads of local sighthound owners in Peckham, Crystal Palace etc and a very lively WhatsApp group that is brilliant if you need dog sitting as you can usually find someone to do that for free in return for you looking after the dog at a later date etc.
