Hi there,

I gave birth to my daughter in November and she has a bilateral cleft lip and palate.

Similarly, I have nothing but praise for the Cleft team at St Thomas's. They have made the whole experience much easier and it's all far less scary than I imagined. I will PM you also with my details.

We also have experience of the cleft service, though my daughter's issue wasn't diagnosed until some time after birth. As the others have said they are amazing - you will have access to so many different experts who will help your baby and you every step of the way. Everyone there is lovely and will really listen to your feelings and needs as a parent and help you to make informed choices. Lots of luck.

    • Hello, I'm from Ireland and would love my children to be able to know the language - I can speak it but I'm not so good at teaching it. If there's anyone local who used to teach Irish at primary school (preferably Connemara Irish) and who'd like to tutor 3 boys aged 7-10 for an hour or two a week please do let me know. Thanks, Sarah
