Do kids still collect stamps these days? Seems to be very hard to find a common-or-garden stamp album. Nothing fancy just the sort of thing everyone had as a child. I have just shown my five year old the art of ripping stamps off envelopes, soaking them and he's quite taken by it.

I have trawled Amazon but nothing suitable comes up - they are all either for professionals (ie expensive) or ones that are supposedly for beginners but have a different page dedicated to each country - and as our post is pretty much UK only this will be disappointing.

Tanza, not sure whether they would have a proper stamp album, but that 'Puffin Crafts' shop in the parade of shops by Goose Green might (by the All Fired Up ceramics place) does loads of 'scrap booking' stuff, so you may get something there?

Maybe phone first rather than going out of your way?

    • Ash tree branch. Before speculating as to cause and whether it was deliberate or not, it’s worth remembering that there is ash dieback around. Also tree branches fall off without warning, especially if there’s internal rot or disease which is not outwardly apparent. And yes, there are regular checks done on the health of the trees in the Wood.
    • Dulwich folk well particularly ED folk have more money than certainly me - £4.00 for bread and butter? That is outrageous and I certainly would not pay £30 for an organic chicken - weird one is pate and runner beans combo. Don’t think butcher on Lordship Lane charges that but each to their own - live in Devon now and no way is an organic chicken that price!!
    • I was sitting on the park bench yesterday opposite north Dulwich station and found an Apple Watch hanging off the corner. I have brought it home and charged it hoping that someone might use ‘find my’ to locate it. Equally happy to be contacted this way to return it to the rightful lender / they just need to say what colour/kind of strap it has. If you can think of a better way to return it / find its owner then please advise. And/or feel free to share on other local fora.
