Hi there,

Our landlord has just put our flat on the market and so we will be looking to move in the next few months (currently signed up to a flexible contract) and keen this time, if possible, to find a private landlord to rent from! We live on Norwood Road at the moment but are looking at Tulse Hill/Herne Hill/Dulwich/West Norwood and other surrounding areas

We're three young professionals who are pretty handy and house proud. We'd be looking for a 3 double bed flat, either fully or part furnished. We're flexible with room sizes as long as they can all take a double bed of some sort! Please do drop me a message if you have anything coming up! Thanks

    • Thanks very much for that.   I think the better informed we are, the better our discussions will be. The article contained: "That arrest had quite an impact on the [phone theft] numbers for the following month,” said Green.  Here's another indicator, admittedly a piece of police PR,  of how well-targeted police efforts, mostly invisible to us,  can when successful  seriously affect offending figures: https://news.met.police.uk/news/met-police-drive-down-theft-and-robbery-by-84-percent-in-battersea-and-nine-elms-500495.
    • Another excellent article from Jim Waterson's London Centric reporting https://www.londoncentric.media/p/kitchen-foil-and-algerian-markets?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email Interesting that there seem to be favoured and repeated routes for phone snatching for particular thieves.  Seems ED might be one of them ☹️
    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces. Access to East Croydon for days out in the South Coast
