From what I have read, the reason given for not doing that is that it would take up too much government time which would be better used for more important matters.
Whether that's just a convenient excuse, I have no idea.

That's very poor.
I hope the solicitor in question is more careful in other aspects of their job ......
In that case, I assume the solicitor realised they had shared the letter by mistake and then somehow reversed the sharing?
I don't know if that is possible, but it's the only explanation I can think of.
Also, maybe it's possible for Windows and Apple documents to be shared? Because documents produced in one system can be viewed in another, otherwise people would only ever be able to communicate with people using the same system?
But I'm sure there are people on here who can confirm or otherwise, as I'm just making assumptions.
