Hi,

I keep getting this error message when I click on images attached to posts.

Linking to files in this forum is not allowed from outside the forum.

It has been happening all weekend and today. I'm using the same iPad as always so no changes my end. Is anyone else experiencing this or have any suggestions on how to stop it?!

Thanks

Hi Admin - I see that 2 CPZ threads have been locked .

The remaining CPZ thread has a title about the CPZ in roads off Lordship Lane and the discussion seems to be centred on how it will affect the shops in Lordship Lane ,plus some discussion of parking near the station .

The area actually reaches from ED station to the Plough and from Greendales to Barry Rd and Peckham Rye Common .Lots of streets that could not be described as off LL.

I did PM the OP of the LL thread to ask if the title could be ammended to indicate that the area is much wider than that indicated by the title .

Why has the thread re the larger area of ED been locked ? If having 2 threads is deemed undesirable could the "streets off " title be ammended to indicate that it is discussing the whole ED CPZ inc the effect on the shops in LL ?

The West Peckham CPZ is a different area altogether from the ED one and the subject of a seperate consultation ,it's not a duplication .Or is there another reason for it being locked ?

What area is classed as East Dulwich according to the forum?

I understand the West Peckham CPZ thread was closed to avoid confusion given there are a number of threads on CPZs ( if it could be reopened to give people somewhere to share information as the consultation runs until 7 February that would be good) but a comment was made that it was non Eat Dulwich related. This is wrong as although the Council termed it West Peckham it relates to roads leading to Grove Vale and one issue mentioned in the thread was commuters parking and going to East Dulwich station.

Admin can?t be responsible for misinformation posted on the forum but I trust that when moving things to The Lounge as they are not East Dulwich related East Dulwich issues are any at least to Denmark Hill station / the junction of Lordship Lane with the South Circular as I?m sure people in those areas use East Dulwich Station and Lordship Lane.

Am I right in surmising that there are no admins or deputies on duty this week? Normally business and sales posts stuck in the general ED section get moved or deleted pretty quickly, as do interloper (spam or backlink creators) in the Lounge, once reported. But I don't think I've seen signs of action in any of these cases so far this week.

Hi there, not sure if this is the right place to post but I'm having some problems with my private messages - I'm not getting my usual email to say if one has come in, and I don't think my outbound PMs are going out properly either.

I realise everyone is probably on holiday at the moment but I'd be grateful if someone could investigate at some point in case I'm missing something obvious.

Thanks very much :-)

I sent you a PM yesterday afternoon about one aspect of it. It's not flagged as seen yet, but I think it's probably still worth looking at.

    • If you want to change a radiator and it is the same size, pretty straight forward.  isolate by turning the two valves, one is straight forward hand twist, the other side you need to take the cap off and get an adjustable spanner and turn till closed.  Both clockwise. Use the same spanner to undo the large nuts that fix the radiator to the pipework, open the bleed valve, get a flatish container to catch the water which is likely to be a grotty black, sheets/plastic underneath to protect floor/floor covering.  Then jiggle off, tipping as quick as you an into your water container. Fingers crossed it will be the same back plate fitting.  If not you will have to take the old one off and fix the new one. Replacement is a reverse, allowing the rad to refill and let the air out. No naked flames involved. If it is a different size I can advise on that too. Lots on line too: https://www.toolstation.com/help-and-advice/how-to-guides/how-to-remove-radiator?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=19747119835&gclid=CjwKCAiAkvDMBhBMEiwAnUA9BR26YwBA6kOfcR4-JVxfJEjWdhRk6j0imCNcsIfu064wHN54-cs10xoCZ4cQAvD_BwE Although this is for a pressurised (combi) system where you need to get it back to pressure.  Pretty simple.  I don't bother with jointing compound.
    • Fair enough - I'm absolutely wrong on that one. 👍
    • I'm still completely unclear what happened, apart from that a car apparently crashed into a lamp post opposite the Co-op. I presume the one in Lordship Lane, though the OP doesn't say. Was it speeding? Did it swerve to avoid someone who ran into the road? Did something go wrong with its brakes or steering? Did the driver have a medical emergency or fall asleep or got  distracted by something? Was there something slippery on the road surface? Was the driver hurt? Were any passengers hurt? Were any pedestrians or other road users hurt? Were there any witnesses?
