Another Amazing Booksale in aid of Asylum seekers

Don't miss the second book sale at the Copleston Centre cafe this coming Saturday - 10.30 to 12.30 - in aid of SDCAS (Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers). A great selection of books, cds and dvds at exceptional prices AND delicious home made cakes and coffee. The Copleston Centre is a little known gem in Copleston Rd, Peckham (between Avondale Rise and Danby St. Tt is in a Victorian church and is home to some great projects and does wonderful work for the community. It needs your support!

    • A long overdue review for Niko who we have used a number of times over the years, sometimes to properly finish a job that other plumbers have not done properly. He thinks of everything! I only ever use another plumber if it's urgent and Niko is away. A really kind and thoughtful man and totally trustworthy 
    • At the time of posting previously, we had no idea of the dates we would be having the children. The maths place - you pay for a course of lessons . The coding session would be good but you need to book well in advance. Also grandson has been doing coding since 6 years old. He now has a 'mentoring role' at his primary school as his knowledge of this subject is years above his chronological age. Dates are still up in the air as their father is trying to juggle leave from a new job in the north of the country. 
    • why not have a pasty shop - we could have Cornish pasties, Jamaican patties, empanadas from all the different regions.... I like all three.  I'm still going to support the Chacarero family business, as I don't support chains, just as I don't buy anything from Gail's, Nero, Starbucks etc.
    • Thought it had been a fish and chip shop at one time?
