We have a lovely one bedroom flat which will be available to rent from mid March.

Situated on Glengarry Road, the property is a short walk from East Dulwich Station and all the local delights of Lordship Lane. Also on the 37 bus route to Herne Hill and Brixton in one direction and Peckham in the other.

The property is a first floor Victorian conversion in good decorative order. The lounge is large enough to fit a dining table and chairs as well as a sofa.

We are seeking a long term and peaceful tenant. Rent ?1350 PCM plus deposit.

Photos available but file too large to post here. Can email to anyone interested. Please PM me.

Hello there,

My name is Amy I and my partner Marie are currently looking for a nice 1 bed to rent that we can make home. My sister lives on Barry rd and we like the area very much. We both are hoping to be able to go direct via a landlady/landlord as we have had good experiences renting direct. I have just come across your ad on this site, which my sister Sophia recommended and am very interested. I work as a Sign Language Interpreter, mainly in education and my partner, Marie works as a Studio Manager. I am sure you have been inundated with interest and queries, however, may I ask is the flat available still to view? I am in Peckham today to see a friend so I will keep an eye on my email in case you get in touch.

My personal email is [email protected]

Many thanks and hope to hear from you.

    • Thanks very much for that.   I think the better informed we are, the better our discussions will be. The article contained: "That arrest had quite an impact on the [phone theft] numbers for the following month,” said Green.  Here's another indicator, admittedly a piece of police PR,  of how well-targeted police efforts, mostly invisible to us,  can when successful  seriously affect offending figures: https://news.met.police.uk/news/met-police-drive-down-theft-and-robbery-by-84-percent-in-battersea-and-nine-elms-500495.
    • Another excellent article from Jim Waterson's London Centric reporting https://www.londoncentric.media/p/kitchen-foil-and-algerian-markets?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email Interesting that there seem to be favoured and repeated routes for phone snatching for particular thieves.  Seems ED might be one of them ☹️
    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces. Access to East Croydon for days out in the South Coast
    • Could East Dulwich or Forest Hill work? Some properties on Underhill Road and Wood Vale have large gardens e.g.  https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/161079866#/?channel=RES_BUY  You'd be close to the Horniman, Dulwich Park and Peckham Rye. Transport might not be what you're looking for though e.g. a 15 minute walk to Forest Hill station for the East London line or mainline into London Bridge.
