Childminder

Recommended Posts

Hi, We are looking for a childminder for our smiley one year old little boy for one day a week. Ideally a Wednesday, but flexible on a tues/wed or thurs. Interested in a local childminder in the Goose Green to Bellenden Road side of East Dulwich. My husband and I are self employed so if a childminder had any degree of flexibility to increase in busy times that would be really useful but I appreciate may be impossible.

Thanks!

Hi,

It is with much interest that I am writing you about the position you are offering.

I have many years of experience as a babysitter, which vary from all ages and tasks, as I have been babysitting for over 8 years while living in the US, Australia, and Italy.

I have a first aid certificate, as part of my training when an AuPair in the US, and I am available to start working as soon as possible being flexible on arranging days and times. I am also available for evening and weekends babysitting.

I am a portuguese native speaker, fluent in English, and I have good knowledge of Spanish and Italian.

I have attached my resume to this message, so just let me know, please, if there is any further information you may need.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

Regards,

Valeria

I am not "brushing stuff aside and pleading ignorance." I am truthfully saying when I don't presently know enough about something to comment. I have always been very careful to try to  differentiate between fact and opinion in my posts, and I am not clear what your point is. And I am certainly not trying to wind anybody up. This is a forum. If you don't want to respond to my posts, that's up to you. I'm not sure why you feel the need to announce it.
    • @NewWave I know how you feel. Like you, I've lived and spent prolonged periods of time in some pretty crazy places and always thought I could handle a bunch of kids. But, no - they got to me and I was shaking like a leaf afterwards. That's what age does to us.  But I did engage with them, so bear that in mind.  My advice would be to never let anything like that stop you doing the things you love. I'm certainly not going to stop using the park, there's no way they get to take away our cherished spaces!  If you see them, just change tack and keep out of their way. My dog won't even go that way again, so that's that problem solved. (If I see them again, I'm going to keep taking photos from a safe distance).
