Cat killings and mutilations in SE22 - please sign this petition

Hello, local residents with cats,or anyone know knows a cat owner in the area,

You may have already heard about this, but there is a really sick person/people who mutilating and killing cats ? over 50 around Croydon and Thornton heath and now 2 have been found in Pellatt road SE22. They are suggesting keeping your cats inside at night at least. Please pass the message on to anyone you know who also has a cat, thanks.

The petition mentions a total of five cats killed in the Croydon area. As far as I understand it, the total is lots higher.

Thanks very much for posting. Will be keeping the cat in for a while near Pellatt Road. Thoughts are with the poor families who lost their pets.

The number is around 50 and foxes have also been targeted as well as rabbits.

I don't know when the petition was started, but according to the other thread on this, the police already have a dedicated unit.

Other than asking people to inform them of incidents and trying to put together a pattern, it's quite hard to see what the police can do.

They clearly can't put CCTV everywhere or patrol every street in South London hoping to catch this person in action, particularly as he (it appears to be a he) is apparently removing the bodies once he has killed them in order to work on them elsewhere and bring them back, so presumably does not stay long at the site of the initial killing.

And forensic evidence apparently shows that the person wears gloves, so can't be traced by fingerprints or DNA.

The whole thing is quite horrible. I'm so sorry for any cat owners whose cats have been involved.
