Large room to rent SE21

Beautiful room in a laid back house share.

The room has a king size bed and masses of storage, big windows and a gorgeous Victorian fireplace. The kitchen is giant and features a wonderfully cosy and welcoming Aga? there?s a very lovely long garden that gets lots of sun and is great for summer fun.

A few minutes? walk from lovely Herne Hill and all its shops, cafes, restaurants and the market on Sundays, you?re an even shorter walk from Brockwell Park. Brixton is a short bus ride, and Herne Hill, West Dulwich and North Dulwich train stations are all really close by, with Tulse Hill just a couple of minutes further. A bus goes right past the house to central London.

You?ll be sharing with two males and one female, all in their late 20s/early 30s. One?s a lawyer, one works in a museum, and I don?t really understand the other one?s job but he likes to find amusing names on the computer system and tell us them. It?s a pretty sociable house with the odd (amazing) dance party in the kitchen, although people are also pretty busy, independent, and in and out of the house. There?s room for a bike and free parking on the street outside.

The landlord is responsive but absolutely non-interfering, really loves his house and wants to look after it for his tenants.

I can be a bit flexible about moving date if needed - just ask. [email protected]

    • Called Tessa Jowell GP Surgery today after failing to get two repeat prescriptions from the pharmacy.  When I asked the pharmacy, I was told that they had been requested but not sent by the surgery.  After speaking to the surgery I was told that those two items were no longer on my repeat prescriptions.  I was told I would need a prescription review. Earliest date would be the 22 September.  That is utterly ridiculous.  Surely someone from the surgery should have contacted me to tell me this after requesting the repeat prescriptions two weeks ago.    Also, apparently, there is no point sending an email regarding prescriptions as they are not actioned nor replied to as I have discovered.
    • Erm... guessing it's like any service... so you can receive/be part of something relevant to you in the area where you happen to reside. You don't have to sign up but you might miss out on an excellent Tesco offer or two. 🤷‍♀️
    • https://www.stanthonysprimary.co.uk/parents/admissions/admissions-1 Both my children went to St Anthony's and I feel it is a wonderful school... very inclusive of all faiths (they learn about all religions even though it's a Catholic school) and nurturing with great pastoral care and teaching. it's a real community of families and school staff and I was very sad when my youngest left for secondary this year.
    • happy to buy, but would rather not buy a new one as only need it for a very short time (Hallowe'en). Please let me know if you have one in your cupboard that you don't use.
