Calling all American Ex-pats!! It's only 8 days until you can vote in the democratic global primary. What the heck is the global primary you say?? Well it's a real thing with real delegates and it really matters. We are a bunch of Bernie Sanders supporters, but you don't have to support Bernie to register, you only have to be a Democrat.

We will be at the Ivy House in Nunhead this upcoming Saturday at 3pm to register people to vote in the upcoming primary on Super Tuesday, February 23.

Representatives from London for Bernie will be there to answer all of your questions and help you through the registration process. It's super easy and you can have a pint while doing it.

Here is a link to the London for Bernie/ Democrats abroad site for more information about the upcoming primary here in London. http://www.londonforbernie.org/

Where? We will be meeting at The Ivy House @ 40 Stuart Road, SE15 3BE

When? 3pm till ?

Please feel free to ask any questions here and I will respond as quickly as I can. Please bring any and all Americans you know who would be interested in making their voices heard in this historic election that will effect us all around the planet!

    • Sue said "But I'm sure the silver tongued Keir Starmer will be able to smooth things over. Not to mention the King and Queen 🤢"  Starmer dithers and is unable to make any decision and when he finally does he gets in massively wrong and duly backtracks. The guy is a liability and clown who the country needs rid off before he taxes us to heaven whilst bankrupting the country.  And as he's flying in and around Windsor for two days, I do hope they've got the skies covered as he's a sitting duck.
    • I assumed that the noise was from Heathrow planes - until the power outage in March that brought everything to a standstill. I still heard plane noise during that time - seems like it's City Airport planes. I wonder whether flight times and patterns can be adapted during the early hours before 6am to minimise noise pollution (e.g. slightly later times and not flying so low).
    • I was replying to Jazzer, who said it wasn't going to change Trump's presence here. However, you are also obviously right, and also  nothing will change Trump for the better. And yes, this could be counter productive. But I'm sure the silver tongued Keir Starmer will be able to smooth things over. Not to mention the King and Queen 🤢  I think it's right that people should feel able to make their feelings known. It appears to be  a peaceful and well planned demonstration, and presumably they won't be bringing out the Baby Trump inflatable again, which must be well deflated by now.
    • Its a few years ago now, but I organised my end of year prom (for year 13) at Off the Cuff in Herne Hill - was on the cheaper side to rent and at that age, felt very cool and clubby. I had my own 18th at Whirled Cinema in Loughborough Junction but I'm not sure if they take event bookings like that anymore
