Hi,

I have a pair of brand new, fully-lined, pure silk curtains. They are cream (butter cream, rather than ivory), very heavy, high quality and fit a standard bay window in my house in Brixton.

Dimensions of the bay window are 258cm width and 215cm drop. The curtains were tailor-made to fit this size.

My Mum had them custom made for me but they don't match the rest of the furnishings in the house so I am looking to find a more loving home for them. The price is ?120 - an absolute bargain considering they are entirely unused and still in original packaging. Ideally I'd like to sell them this weekend, to free up space, so please get in touch ASAP if you'd like them.

"All caps" may be used for emphasis (for a word or phrase). They are commonly seen in the titles on book covers, in advertisements and in newspaper headlines. So basically most people use capitals to advertise there products to sell.
No because I am not selling anything! but I'm just saying just because someone writes in caps doesn't actually mean they are shouting it just means they are aiming to sell something so it jumps out for the person to click on it. Any way are you admin? Because you always seem to be a busy body on every body's posts.
ABSOLUTELY enough of that Dani. Aside from that: Jenni is right and you are wrong; the rules are for using the Forum not just selling on it; it's hardly wise to defend your not reading the Forum rules when someone has pointed out that the issue you are weighing-in on actually revolves on them; and foolhardy, making an unjustified slur on another's character in order to defend your own position - DIX

    • Callout for help from any local experts here. Looking to find out more about the history of the property on the corner of Whateley Road and Ulverscroft road (with the green glazed bricks). Now a residential property, i'm told it was a bottle shop in days gone (the house was built around 1900) by and i'd like to learn more about the history of the business that was once here - name, photos, anything at all really! Seems to be very little from open source research so i'm hoping anyone with history in the area can provide any insight!  Starting here before i contact Southwark Archives or similar orgs to get any information and pictures (any advice here also would be welcome). Thank you
