Dinner recommendation with small child

Some friends living in Australia are visiting London next month. They're hoping to spend an evening in East Dulwich with various old friends for a good catch up. The only slight snag is that they now have an 18 month old boy. I don't have kids yet so I'm completely oblivious as to where we could go. Could anyone recommend somewhere that might be suitable for dinner with a small child as one of the party? Thanks

Not sure of a specific restaurant that is child friendly in the evenings but as a general rule I'd say go Italian. Most kids love pasta and most Italians love kids!

Hope someone else has some more specific advice for you though.

Si Mangia on Forest Hill Road. Nice staff, very child friendly and great food.

Agree that Italian is the good option. Either Si Mangia or Locale - we've been to both with our two kids and both are very accommodating.

The Pizza Express in Dulwich Village is great with kids - the staff couldn't be nicer, and they are really used to it as lots of families go there! Definitely a nice option.

Hisar is good and lots of space. Mexican isn't very nice food.

Pizza Express Dulwich is the place, you get a decent bite & a drink in a good atmosphere. They are totally cool with children & the staff are really nice as well
