baby and children's stuff wanted

Recommended Posts

Hi,

at Lordship Lane Baptist Church we organise Coffee mornings every Tuesday mornings giving refugees and people in need coffee, tea, some fruit and biscuits and a place to spend few hours in good company and where the children can play.

We also offer them some clothes and anything that comes form the generosity of people's donations!!!

So please anything you might want to give away could be very important for them

We are desperately looking especially for donations of baby and children stuff!!1

Anything will do as long as it is in decent conditions.

Some of them sometimes do not have the basics to wear and face the cold, children only have 1 pair of shoes and mothers do not have anything to carry their children but their arms.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Baby and children's clothes and especially shoes, but also toys, books, prams, buggies, rocking chairs, cots beds but also men's and women's shoes, adult's clothes winter jackets and jumpers, blankets.

Just let us know and we will come and collect it on your doorstep!!!

please call 07957272993 or reply on this thread

thank you on behalf of the team @ LLBC

    • Thanks very much for that.   I think the better informed we are, the better our discussions will be. The article contained: "That arrest had quite an impact on the [phone theft] numbers for the following month,” said Green.  Here's another indicator, admittedly a piece of police PR,  of how well-targeted police efforts, mostly invisible to us,  can when successful  seriously affect offending figures: https://news.met.police.uk/news/met-police-drive-down-theft-and-robbery-by-84-percent-in-battersea-and-nine-elms-500495.
    • Another excellent article from Jim Waterson's London Centric reporting https://www.londoncentric.media/p/kitchen-foil-and-algerian-markets?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email Interesting that there seem to be favoured and repeated routes for phone snatching for particular thieves.  Seems ED might be one of them ☹️
    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces. Access to East Croydon for days out in the South Coast
