NOW SOLD: Oak block worktop offcuts

We have several offcuts of a Howdens solid oak block worktop left over after having our kitchen installed. They're really nice pieces of wood and it would seem a shame just to throw them away. See photos attached.

There are two long lengths that might work as shelves or a slim bench top (we're using another one as a bench seat). They are 25cm x 240cm x 4cm.

There are also four, large rectangular shapes - all approximately 35cm x 60cm. We are using another one as a chopping/serving block.

?10 per piece or ?50 for the lot.

The two, long lengths of worktop have now been taken, but we still have 4 rectangular pieces if anyone's interested? See pictures attached to first post.

Originally we asked for ?10 per piece, which seemed a fair thing given the quality of the wood. But really, we're just keen to see them go! So feel free to make an offer.

    • Thanks very much for that.   I think the better informed we are, the better our discussions will be. The article contained: "That arrest had quite an impact on the [phone theft] numbers for the following month,” said Green.  Here's another indicator, admittedly a piece of police PR,  of how well-targeted police efforts, mostly invisible to us,  can when successful  seriously affect offending figures: https://news.met.police.uk/news/met-police-drive-down-theft-and-robbery-by-84-percent-in-battersea-and-nine-elms-500495.
    • Another excellent article from Jim Waterson's London Centric reporting https://www.londoncentric.media/p/kitchen-foil-and-algerian-markets?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email Interesting that there seem to be favoured and repeated routes for phone snatching for particular thieves.  Seems ED might be one of them ☹️
