Brick repointing and restoration - recommendation for company

London Repointing and Restoration spent 4 weeks repointing and cleaning the whole of our semi-detached house on Upland Road. I could not recommend this company more highly, the team of 4 turned up at 7.30 every morning and worked 8 hours straight. They were hard working, courteous perfectionists who explained each part of the job very thoroughly so I knew exactly what was happening each day. The biggest challenge was removing the render from the side wall and then repointing the bricks as we did not know what condition the bricks would be in. They are very clean and tidy workers and take great pride in their work - deservedly so as our Victorian house now looks like a new build! The company's owner responded quickly to calls and emails and visited the house frequently to check on progress. The work has not only added value to our property aesthetically, but it has rectified some existing problems with damp and cracked bricks, and it should prevent more issues occurring in the future. http://www.londonrepointingandrestorationltd.co.uk Kevin Ryan 07830 911177
  • 2 weeks later...
The job took 4/5 guys 4 weeks, the house is 2 storeys at the front and 3 at the back - we had the front, side and back of our semi-detached house cleaned and repointed. A big job! It was expensive, but we hope that it has solved some of the issues that came up in the survey regarding damp and cracks caused by the brickwork. The team have been back today sorting out a few extra jobs after we had our roof replaced, I highly recommend them.

    • My view is that it's really, really poor behaviour. Unfortunately some people are rubbish.
    • Just seen a very large bird slowly circling over the bottom end of the Rye/Nunhead area. I think it was a red kite but can't be sure at that height
    • Thanks for the replies. I am expecting several personal and official letters that were posted last week and should have arrived by now, including a new bank card. I complained to my MP, Helen Hayes, a few years ago when most people in ED had the same problem.  She took up the issue and things seemed to improve.    I rang Peckham Sorting Office but the call went to the PO call centre - after a 20 minute wait I managed to speak to someone so  I'll see if anything arrives today.
    • Monday I think. Just adds to all the fun and so well timed. Why just have annoyance when misery could be in play?
