Child minder reccommendation

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone, I'm posting to help out our lovely child minder, Sue Button, who is currently looking for more hours. She has over 30 years experience, is Ofsted registered and our kids love her. She is based on Lyndhurst Grove and will do pick up from Lyndhurst primary and The Villa. Her number is 07811378722, and please feel free to PM me with any questions or for a reference.

Cheers

Hi, I am also giving a glowing reference for my childminder, Sue Button. Sue has looked after my daughter, Lily after school for over a year and been really brilliant with her. We are now having to move to alternative childcare arrangements because of my work committments so Sue is looking for a replacement child (from 4 years old upwards) for after school hours preferably picking up from either Lyndhurst or The Villa. Children absolutely LOVE Sue she has the midas touch with them which is not just due to her many years experience. She provides a welcoming family home for them to play in and is very relaxed about the youngsters bounding around her house and garden! Lily has done lots of art activities and baking with Sue which are things she loves to do. She has a great, sunny garden that backs onto Warwick Gardens and in nice weather takes the kids out to play in the park or at the adventure playground. She is very flexible and will often roll childcare into evening babysitting at parent's homes if you have to work late or have an evening engagement. Her number is 07811 378722

Another glowing reference for Sue Button, who has been looking after my twin daughters for the past 10 months. The girls have had a great time - in the summer they are outdoors almost every day, with Sue taking huge packed teas for them as they go off to either Ruskin Park to the paddling pool, or the adventure playground or to Warwick Gardens to play with their friends.

In the winter they often come home with baked goodies to show me that they've made with her, and plenty of artwork.

It's been a perfect experience for me to support me going back to work. Different work patterns mean I've decided to look for an au pair as I also need that little bit of extra support at home, but the girls will miss their time at Sue's because it's felt like a safe and comfortable place for them to go after school. Her number is as above 07811 378722, and if you have any questions feel free to message me.

    • Rather frustratingly, I have pulled my calf muscle so it looks like I am resting for the time being! If anyone here wants to take the lead on organising the first run that would be great! If not I’m happy to set it up when I’m back in action 🙂
    • That recycling bin isn't there any more unless I have missed it? That one is for good condition items. I just discovered that Runners Need and Cotswold Outdoor have a shoe recycling scheme. Haven't dropped mine in yet but next time I am near one will check it out.
    • Would have thought Oru/ Trinco would be noisy… certainly is at mid afternoon. Do let us know when you have been what is was like and where you finally settled on.sure we are all interested  as your requirements are quite specific and good to know or have reviews on places, especially from you with different needs and requirements. Actually, given the numbers involved and as you say a special occasion, assuming £20/30  head, you really should have a chat with Suzanne. Maybe your kids could chip in a bit more as they are working.. You could always provide a cake yourself for after. Her food is special and well cooked.. know what you are getting..!    Italian place is also good as well and would cater for your needs except of  course the toilet aspect which is a steep climb down stairs… even I struggle. Yes, , know you are not a fan of Vietnamese place after tea incident… Owner now does all the cooking and so nice and accommodating but you won’t go there.. Wish she got more support… had a bereavement recently…
