Nanny wanted to start early/mid July

We are looking for a nanny to look after our twins and to do nursery drops offs and/or pick ups for our 3 year old daughter when I return to work in July. Mr Bursty is taking shared parental leave for 3 months from July to October so the role will initially be shared charge but will be sole charge from October when the twins are 1. We are looking for a full time nanny who can work at least 8am-6pm, ideally with flexibility to work overtime when needed (although this should not be too often) and to do a couple of nights babysitting per month.   hah ha! On the subject of dodgy keys and also police protocol with stolen cars, my first car was a 1969 mini which you could open and start by wiggling a small flat-headed screwdriver. No wonder it was stolen. About a week later the police called to say they'd spotted it on the Dog Kennel Hill estate opposite East Dulwich station. In those days parking was free so at least I didn't receive any tickets, but I surprised the police just left a message with the address and expected me to go and pick it up. I was slightly worried I'd have to tackle the culprits myself when I arrived.

  This thread is brilliant! I am glad it has a happy ending. The reference to the Punto keys reminds of the days of when you could "jiggle a lock" with a similar car key and I speak from painful memory as a kid I managed to lock the keys in our car whilst on a camping holiday in Spain. My mum and dad didn't speak much Spanish and much hilarity ensued (post event) as they tried to communicate to the driver of a similar make and model of car as to why they had flagged him down and were trying to get him to lend him the key from his ignition!
