Midwife led Antenatal classes for August/ September babies 2016

Recommended Posts

Dear mums-to-be,

Are you expecting your baby in August/ early September?

Are you looking for antenatal classes run by an experienced and practising midwife? A course to prepare you for labour, birth and early days with your baby and where you can meet other local parents expecting around your dates?

We are two midwives with many years of experience and for the last 4 years, we have been running midwife-led group antenatal courses in East Dulwich; these are informative but informal, research and experience-based, fun and dynamic, a space where you can have your questions answered from a non-judgmental point of view and meet a lovely group of other local expectant parents. The course content is as follows:

Wednesday 8th June 2016: process of labour, how labour unfolds

Wednesday 15th June 2016: coping strategies and medical pain relief options

Wednesday 22nd June 2016: when birth does not go to plan, ventouse, forceps and elective or emergency c-section

Wednesday 29th June 2016: recovering from birth and life with a newborn baby, what to expect

Wednesday 6th July 2016: early days with baby, practicalities such as swaddling, bathing, nappies, soothing a crying baby

Wednesday 13th July 2016: feeding your newborn baby

Classes run over 6 consecutive Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm. The venue is the private room at the Lordship Pub, 211 Lordship Lane, East Dulwich.

Getting to know the other couples in the group is very important, hence, during the course we organise two social events with the whole group, another one for partners only (very important!) and another when the course is over and a final reunion with parents and babies. After that, groups meet on a weekly basis, absolutely lovely!

The whole course, material and phone/email support throughout these weeks cost ?240, to pay upfront or in small installments.

If you were interested contact us for an informal chat at 07935435903, text or send an email at [email protected] or [email protected]

    • I’m basing it on the fact that Jeremy Corbyn had repeatedly and on record said he is against mandatory vaccinations in any situation, and he wouldn’t disclose wether he had the Covid vaccine himself    as I said. Not as bad as his brother but very definitely a bit weird about the whole thing. Just say you had the vaccination Jeremy, say that everyone should and stop being weird in the middle of a global pandemic    it’s the same slippery evasive nonsense about Brexit and him. About Putin poisonings and him.     if you are happy with his evasiveness then you do you.  But there is a reason the country wouldn’t get behind him
    • It was my understanding that Jeremy Corbyn was embarrassed by his brother and had distanced himself from his brother's views. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Why on earth should "the overall view of that family inform Jeremy's response to the pandemic"? What exactly are you basing that assumption on?
    • I guess it's best to do what most Brits do these days, keep your head down and say nothing! although that's probably why this country is in the mess it is today!  😞
