The Bike Project is a local charity with a workshop on Crossthwaite Avenue, off Red Post Hill.

They refurbish donated bikes to give to refugees in London. They also teach refugee women how to cycle. Read more here: http://thebikeproject.co.uk/

The very best bikes are refurbished by the best mechanics in the business, usually with plenty of new parts added, and are sold online at their Bike Shop, with all proceeds helping to fund the project.

They are also always looking for old bikes so please bear them in mind - it doesn't matter what condition the bike is in.

Their shop is here: http://shop.thebikeproject.co.uk/

Delivery is free nationwide, but if you wanted to try a bike out first, you could pop into the workshop and take a look. Donated bikes can also be dropped off there.

Any questions PM me - I have been doing some work for them so just declaring my interest!

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
