There are a couple of places remaining on the weekend course at the very beautiful (and warm) St Stephen's Church, Dulwich, SE21. A perfect venue for two days of inspired cello ensemble music and arrangements - with challenges for all and support to overcome them.

We have a great programme in store with music from Classical to Jazz to Rock.

Parts will be sent to you in advance and are allocated individually to ensure the challenges are there for all at their own level of playing.

Adult players of Grade 6 to Advanced are welcome.

The cost of the weekend is ?110 and includes as much tea and cake as you can take!

Hi there - don't mean to hijack but just wanted to post in case anyone looking at this is interested in joining an amateur orchestra. I'm a cellist with St Barts Chamber Orchestra and new cellos (or any strings) are always welcome. Rehearsals in Streatham on Monday nights. If you're interested send a PM and I can give you more info.

Cello weekend sounds great! Enjoy.

    • Bromley is ok but in the last year, shopping centre now has a lot of security measure due to bags being snatched and assaults in or around area in broad daylight - another area where before, felt fine now more alert.
    • Twenty plus years ago, the centre of Croydon was a fine place to work in, sadly times have changed, the Whitgift centre has gradually fallen to its knees, lots of shop closures and unlikely to be redeveloped given Croydon Councils financial situation.  Always preferred Croydon to Bromley and rarely go to either.
