Lovely, light and furnished shortlet looking onto Goose Green, 1 bedrm

Hi

I have a lovely, light and characterful one bedroom flat for short let (Late July to early October and then mid November to May 2018) on East Dulwich Rd. It is a hall floor flat and looks out into Goose Green, has a small veranda at the back with French doors that look out at yet more trees. There is a small garden with the flat (well, a grass patch) accessed via the side alley.

It?s full of natural light, has high ceilings, original wooden floors and is unusual in that the bedroom and living room are separated by the original folding doors so can be opened up to make one large room. It?s fully furnished.

Looking for a professional couple or individual, no smoking and no pets. As I have lovely neighbours and as the flat?s wooden floors are above two of them I need people to be quiet and respectful (shoes off and no parties).

If you are interested do message me for further info. More photos available. Looking for approx. ?1,300 pcm which includes electricity, water, gas and internet but not council tax. There is no land line or TV but otherwise it is fully furnished. Start date from 29 July to around 7th October and again 11 November to late May 2018. Though am not expecting the same tenant either side of these dates.

    • Yes, the Council's scheme for Peckham Rye station square is going ahead and is welcomed. However, the major project for the rebuilding of the station itself to provide improved accessibility has not received government funding and is being 'paused'. There seems little prospect of that scheme now going ahead in the current Parliament. This is regrettable as it is one of the busiest stations on the network outside central London.
    • A  description limited to just " white, 50s, male" would be equally useless in identifying anybody, because it could apply to so many people. What point are you trying to make? And I didn't "jump down the OP's throat." The way the thread has developed is how threads work. Different people have different views on things. And the point about media references to migrants and single mothers was relevant to the discussion.
    • What would be the point of that?  It may work in a  USA style mall where there’s maybe a single point of entry and armed security people.  But here financially, it wouldn’t work.
    • I think there's a similar square-type thing around Queens Road Peckham, which has stayed in pretty good nick. It was certainly a vast improvement.  Having said that, it would be terribly sad if small businesses suffer in the process. I love the fruit 'n' veg stalls & shops on Rye Lane, and the atmosphere in general atmosphere and very much hope that a new station square and the stalls aren't mutually exclusive.
