Thought some folks with kids going to the Charter School ED or who are thinking about the school might be interested in this article on Around Dulwich about the Awards for All grant the school has received. The grant will be used to improve the playground at the temporary site through a container garden, sports equipment and a mural... all of which will be moved to the permanent site when it's ready!

Thanks - it was very much a collaborative effort. We set up a fundraising committee separate from the Friends Group (which does all the community fundraising and events like the book drive, summer walk, curry night etc). The fundraising committee has reps from the senior leadership team, parents with professional fundraising experience for charities & arts organisations, governors and the Friends Group.

Parents with fundraising expertise draft the bids which are then finalised and signed off by the school. So the school is responsible for the oversight of the funds and ensuring project management and evaluation happens in line with the expectations of the funders. We have two parents with extensive Trusts & Foundations expertise but we could do with parents with corporate fundraising & major donor expertise on the committee so if any parents with those skills sets are joining the school, message me please!

    • There is a vaccine against RSV, but also one against pneumonia; I've had both. But maybe you've only had one. The pneumonia was offered to me several years before RSV, which I think was only last year. Worth checking what you have had.
    • Looks to me like a server configuration problem.   Unfortunately if say "This project is in maintenance mode, tweet @bombsightuk for questions." It might be worth a try.
    • You might be right, but I don't think this is Covid. The Covid test was negative,  the sore throat was very sore but  only lasted a day, and I wouldn't call the intermittent very runny nose, sneezing and dry cough "horrendous". The lack of energy is the worst thing. I've been in bed since Thursday. But it doesn't really matter what it is, I just hope it goes away sooner rather than later 😭 I had to Google RSV. I had a jab for that I think, but I thought it was for pneumonia, maybe they just called it that. Staying in bed in the hope it won't get worse.  Labelling it is irrelevant really, unless there is a quick fix for something specific which can be identified, which sounds unlikely.
    • Yes it may well not be C-19, but whatever it is, it's like wildfire and everyone is describing the same symptoms.  I pretty a saline nasal wash stopped me from getting a follow-on sinus infection. It's an unpleasant but strangely satisfying process
