To Rent: Lovely double bedroom available on Copleston Road

I am moving back to Australia with my boyfriend so sadly we have to say goodbye to our lovely house and housemates in East Dulwich.

The house is spread over 2 floors and is fully furnished. Downstairs there is a spacious lounge room, with 2 sofas, TV and dining table, huge kitchen with lots of storage, dishwasher, american style fridge and 6 ring gas oven and a toilet. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. There is also lovely brand new deck at the rear of the house, perfect for BBQs!

The available room is at the front of the house and has a large bay window, which lets in lots of natural light. The bedroom comes unfurnished but as we are leaving the UK we would be more than happy to sell any/all of the furniture if you are interested.

Our housemates are great. We are all pretty independent but enjoy having dinners all together from time to time. This is a home rather than a party house but that's not to say we don't enjoy a wine and the occasional late night!

The house is super close to Lordship Lane which is packed with lots of great pubs, restaurants and independent shops. Peckham Rye is also nearby and great spot for a picnic!

East Dulwich Station is a 3 minute walk from the house and Denmark Hill station is a couple of minutes up the road by bus.

The house has a full sky package, super fast broadband, and a weekly cleaner for the common areas but for a touch extra she can clean your room too.

We also have direct contact with the landlord so if there is anything that ever needs sorting it gets done very quickly!

The room is available on 31 August.

Rent: ?923 pcm (not including bills)

Please get in touch with me if you are interested to arrange a viewing.

Thanks

Catie

    • I used a white floor paint, whether you keep redoing it depends on how bothered you are about scuffs, which I'm not 😂 I just pretend it's supposed to look like that 😂 I hoover it then mop it with Flash or something similar in a bucket. Some things have stained it in places, but obviously a white floor in a kitchen is liable to get stained. Sometimes I put rugs down if I want a change. You need to make sure the floorboards don't have gaps where water could get in and rot them. In the kitchen I originally had a concrete floor, so tongue and groove was put over it  (so no gaps between the boards, though it looks like floorboards) but my bathroom has actual floorboards which were painted white. I know people who have just used ordinary paint rather than floor paint, but I imagine it's not so hard-wearing. You could ask advice in a paint shop.
    • Oh Thanks can I ask what paints or other products you used and is it long lasting or do you have to keep redoing it?
    • Yes, I have. Just make sure they are thoroughly dry before anyone walks on them. I had some truly terrible "builders" doing my kitchen.
