Just read this piece and I was both nodding in agreement and chuckling. Gosh, those first few months are hideous but we do come out of them and before we know it we're doing it again :-)

I had my daughter in Sydney and the lead Paediatrician at the hospital was a guy called Dr Howard Chilton who pioneered the fourth trimester theory, he gives regular talks to all expectant parents about it which are amazing and I was so glad to have heard before coming home with a newborn. I am not sure if it's available in the UK but his book 'Baby on Board' is a great read if you want to find out more about it.
