Kids outdoor kit for hire

Recommended Posts

Hi there forumites!

I have a slight fetish about good quality outdoor kit for kids. I was brought up in the Lake District with the family motto 'there's no such thing as bad weather just bad gear!' After years of sailing, canoeing, walking and skiing I am now forcing, ahem, encouraging my kids to do the same!

As a result I have built up quite a collection of kids outdoor gear. It's all in excellent condition. Bearing in mind the expense of good quality outdoor gear and the fact that kids grow so quickly it's often not worth investing in something you may only need for a couple of weeks a year. I have decided to start a little ( very local) company 'Kids Kit' which specialises in hiring outdoor gear.

The kit I have ranges from newborn to age 5 and includes

Price hire per week;

Mountain Equipment duck and down all in one ski suits ?15

Jo Jo Maman Bebe fleece all in one outdoor suits ?10

Snow boots ?10

All in one splash suits ?5

Bush Baby mountain back pack childrens carrier ?15

Little lite childrens carrier ?15

Karrimor 40 L rucksack ?10

Childrens Fjallraven Kanken mini backpacks ?5

Vango Marista 700 7 birth tent ?75

Eurohike 2 man tent ?25

Vango Nitestar junior sleeping bags ?10

Regatta luxury double air bed (electric pump)?5

Regatta single airbeds (built in pump)?5

Samsonite pop up travel cot ?5

Pick up and drop off in Nunhead.

Hello,

We are off Skiing next week and it would be great to hire some snow boots if you have the right size.

I have a 2yr old (size 6/7 or 23/24) and 4yr old (10 or 28).

And perhaps some gloves and ski clothes.

Best wishes,

Lucy

    • For a direct bus route, there's  Aldi, Lidl and Tesco on adjacent stops on Rushey Green, Catford -- about 30 minutes on the 185 from ED Grove.  And ED to Catford by train can be done in a quarter hour if you pick the right times.
