Hi

My friend has said she would take my 4 year old to a pantomime as her Christmas present to him this year. She has decided on jack nd the Beanstalk at Greenwich theatre. Has anyone seen the production? Is it sumthg a 4 year old would be interested in?

I m worried he will get bored nd want to leave halfway thru if it doesn't interest him.

Any seen it with their toddlers?

Thanks

Milly

We are taking my 4y old niece along with my nearly-4y old daughter and 20 month old son to this production, so I am hoping it will be ok! Either way, you won't be the only one with young kids there. If he gets bored, then so be it but he may also love it.

My daughter (and her friends) have been going to children's theatre since they were 2+ and there is no shame if one of them has an off day. Also, a noisy, interactive panto is a good introduction to theatre for young children, as there is no expectation for them to be quiet or well behaved.

Hope he enjoys it!

I just no longer believe advertised opening hours in bars and restaurants I find it annoying and I understand Sue's annoyance But as Spartacus' excellent post makes clear - it's not really any of the business fault these days. Overheads are astronomically higher and I'm sure they would like to have a full restaurant and keep place open. Customer behaviours has changed and loads of places are having to be nimble and do the best they can. That won't always align with what I want. Sign of the times   (sidenote: no,  Brexit didn't cause this. But as with everything in GB, it's there as an additional factor and makes it that bit worse than other countries face with similar post-pandemic challenges)
