Move bamboo in my garden - maybe a chainsaw?

Hello, I'm looking for someone who can move a couple of large clumps of bamboo around my garden while I get some building work done. I've looked on the internet and apparently bamboo roots are difficult to dig out - a chainsaw is sometimes recommended. Can anybody recommend anybody who's able to do that sort of work? Thanks!

I really don't recommend a chainsaw! Anyone who values their chainsaw & their life will not use one!!

The only answer is hard work by grubbing them out with a mattock. Their roots are called rhizomes & they can run a long way in yours & your neighbours garden. If you ever want to replace them without the same problem, buy black or nigra

Bamboo, much prettier & they don't take over the place

Thanks Nigel for your advice. A mattock, then - does anybody know anyone who is handy with a mattock and would be good at moving my bamboo? No idea what sort it is, but I am told it is good stuff and well worth trying to keep alive.

Thank you!
