Just wanted to say a big thank you to Daniel for doing an essential repair job in my bathroom over the Christmas period.

I highly recommend the work Dulwich plumbing and heating (07879220447)has done for me over last year. Wish all workmen were as efficient, polite, punctual, clean and tidy and reasonably priced.

Many thanks again and very happy new year to Daniel and his colleagues!

Although there are some positives..and that's why I opted for this companty, there are lots of posts elsewhere on this forum about the appalling "service" delivered by Dulwich Heating and Plumbing. I suggest you do a trawl of those before reaching a final decision about whether to use them. Their behaviour is predatory, dishonest and irresponsible. I am currently pursuing Daniel for work carried out at a rate of ?150 per hour, but which has not actually fixed the leak which he was contracted to do. I have full written documentation from Daniel admitting liability for failure to carry out the work, and undertakings to pay me back the ?150 owed, but which he simply refuses to pay back. I have no other option but to resort to the law to recover my money.

My experience is identical to many others that can be seen elsewhere on this site.

It would be interesting to cost up how much Daniel has cost members of this forum in uncompleted and/or bodged work.

Buyer beeware....personally I wouldn't touch with a bargepole and can not warn strongly enough against this company.

Our experience is absolutely negative. We called Dulwich Heating and Plumbing out to look at a job. It was not intended to be done at all at this first meeting. The job involved replacing two motorised valves (one of which we had already purchased) and replacing a leaking flange attachment and then ensuring that the under-floor heating would then work. Daniel and two others arrived and promptly proceeded to fit the motorised valve that we already had and told me that further parts would be required. He then demanded ?200!! to reflect the fitting of the motorised valve and the bleeding of a towel rail only. It was not part-payment for the rest of the job. He asked if we could pay by cash and reduced the demand to ?180. He then reduced it to ?150. He had been at our house for less than 1 hour.He sought to justify this outrageous demand because he turned up with 2 other men. Foolishly we paid ?150. This was not an emergency call out but a request to price a job. We feel that he conned us. He then had the gall to suggest that the additional work would be done at a discount rate of ?400 labour only. That additional work would take at most one or possibly two hours.

    • We had one that projected stars and played lullabies. It was a soft toy bee with a hard plastic back. I know we used it but can’t recall how effective it was.  What was brilliant was the Lulla sleep doll which has a heart beat sound. That was a critical sleep aid for the first couple of years.
    • Hmmm, millions of animals are killed each year to eat in this country.  10,000 animals (maybe many more) reared to be eaten by exotic pets, dissected by students, experimented on by cosmetic and medical companies.  Why is this any different? Unless you have a vegan lifestyle most of us aren't in a position to judge.  I've not eaten meat for years, try not to buy leather and other animal products as much as possible but don't read every label, and have to live with the fact that for every female chick bred to (unaturally) lay eggs for me to eat, there will be male that is likely top be slaughtered, ditto for the cow/milk machines - again unnatural. I wasn't aware that there was this sort of market, but there must be a demand for it and doubt if it is breaking any sort of law. Happy to be proved wrong on anything and everything.
    • I don't know how spoillable food can be used as evidence in whatever imaginary CSI scenario you are imagining.  And yes, three times. One purchase was me, others were my partner. We don't check in with each other before buying meat. Twice we wrote it off as incidental. But now at three times it seems like a trend.   So the shop will be hearing from me. Though they won't ever see me again that's for sure.  I'd be happy to field any other questions you may have Sue. Your opinion really matters to me.
